Hi, I'm Pumpernickel! You know, the bread? Well, that's me, full of flavor and a bit nutty. My journey to the shelter is quite the tale. One day, I was playing a game of 'chase the red dot'. I'm pretty sure I was winning, when suddenly, the dot disappeared! I looked everywhere. Under the couch, behind the TV, even in the fridge (don't ask). Next thing I knew, I was here. I'm still searching for that dot, but I've made friends with some cool cats and chilled-out dogs. I'm a mix of shy and playful, brave yet goofy. I've got energy to burn, but I can also be your quiet companion. I'm sweet, funny, and I promise to keep you entertained with my antics. So, if you're looking for a companion who's independent, but loves a good cuddle, I'm your girl. Adopt me and let's find that elusive red dot together!
All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This cat's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
