Hello there, I'm Ali, a handsome Shepherd mix born around 12/18/23. I currently weigh about 24 lbs which should put me in the 55 to 60 lb range when full grown.
I'm friendly pup and look like a little bear with my fuzzy fur. I am well behaved on a leash and love going for walks and hikes (see my video). I'm also playful and am happy with toys, humans or other pups as playmates. But most of all, I am very affectionate and I love to get attention from my foster family! My foster mom says I am crate trained and, as long as I get regular potty breaks, I am potty trained, too. I know to sit when I meet people, but I sometimes have to be reminded not to jump up when I say hello. I really love food and my foster mom says this should make me pretty easy to train.

I'm a funny, snuggly boy who would be fabulous with a family. I sit when you enter the kennel so I can see what you're going to do and I'm excited when you bring me food or let me go out in the yard to play.
I'm microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
