#2533 Alex Ferreira (US Olympic Medal Winners Litter)

Adoption Pending
Large-size, Male, Adult Labrador Retriever,

Hello there, my name is Alex Ferreira AKA Duck. I am a big and beautiful boy at 6 years old and 91 lbs. I was recently returned to OPH due to no fault of my own, after six years with my family. I grew up with two dog siblings and three cat siblings! I am now living with a foster family that includes two cats, two big humans and two small humans. Some things my foster mom has observed are:

- I am fully house trained
- I am great on a leash and am easy to walk for such a big strong boy
- I know my basic commands and am a really good listener 😇
- I LOVE walks and squeaky toys and am great at playing fetch
- I also settle very nicely while my foster mom works from home
- Pets and brushes? Yes, PLEASE!
- I love to be with my humans
- I am a sweet and loving boy and despite my large size will try to sit on your lap!
- I am getting used to the new cats.
- Small humans are too fast and loud for me, so I would do best in a home with older or no children.

I was with my previous family for my entire life, so am going through a lot of changes. I am looking for an adopter that will give me the time I need to adjust to my new surroundings!

Alex Ferreira (US Olympic Medal Winners Litter) Alex Ferreira (US Olympic Medal Winners Litter) is currently being fostered in Baltimore, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
