Medical Fundraisers

Sometimes, getting to safety is just the beginning. The animals featured below need specialized veterinary care, medical procedures, or ongoing treatment before they can begin their next chapter. From diagnostic testing and surgery to heart care and other urgent medical needs, these animals are counting on us to help them get the care they deserve.

At Operation Paws for Homes, we believe every animal deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, comfortable life. But extraordinary medical needs often come with extraordinary costs. Your support helps us say yes to animals who need more than a safe place to land. It helps provide the medical care that gives them a chance to heal, feel better, and look forward to a brighter future.

Help them heal. Help make their second chance possible.

Roscoe

Rosco is a sweet 4-year-old Schnauzer who is going through a very difficult time. Rosco was undergoing treatment for heartworm when he developed rare complications and began experiencing severe pain.

His pain became so serious that Rosco had to be hospitalized for several days so the veterinary team could get his pain under control and closely monitor him. Thankfully, he is receiving the care he needs, but his medical expenses are adding up quickly.

Duke

Apparently socks aren't just for wearing according to this 6 month old puppy. Meet our little sock thief Duke who helped himself to a tasty looking sock. Unfortunately, it didn't make its way through quite as easily as he hoped. He has a partial intestinal blockage and is currently at the emergency vet. What started as a puppy being a little too serious has quickly turned into a very expensive emergency stay. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us get him the care he needs.

Raven

Raven is currently being hospitalized with a very severe case of pneumonia. She has a high fever and they believe she may be septic. On top of all of this she is heartworm positive. She is going to be hospitalized for the foreseeable future and as you can imagine this comes with a very hefty price tag for a non profit rescue like ours. Raven is a sweet dog who raised all of her puppies and was just getting the chance to just be a dog again. Your donation can help raven on her road to recovery!

Piglet

Sweet Piglet is a French Bulldog who made her way to Operation Paws for Homes from an Alabama shelter. She’s safe now, but before we can plan her next steps, we need to find out what’s happening inside her little heart.

Piglet has been diagnosed with a grade 3/6 heart murmur, and her veterinary team wants her evaluated by a veterinary cardiologist. Her appointment will help us understand what is causing the murmur, whether she has an underlying heart condition, and what treatment or monitoring she may need.
